Migrating Data from InventoryControl 7.3

To migrate the data from InventoryControl 7.3, please download the script from the Import Data screen.

Following are the steps to download the script:

1. Click on Settings > Import Data.

2. Import Data screen will appear. Click on the New Import button.

3. Download the script by clicking the Download v7 export scripts link.

Note - There is an instruction file available inside the export-scripts.zip file.

 

These scripts can be used to export data directly from an InventoryControl 7.3 database to create a set of files that can be easily imported into InventoryCloud. We recommend you review data carefully for accuracy before importing anything into InventoryCloud.

Make sure to check the following before importing any data:

• Quotes - Quotes in values like 15” (instead of 15 inches) may cause issues while importing.
• DateTimes - Please make sure all DateTime values are full ISO round trip formatted values in UTC like: 2014-04-14T15:36:01.5345961Z
• Decimal numbers. Currently, the import expects a '.' char to represent a decimal portion of a number like: 3.1415973

If you currently use an older version of InventoryControl 7.3, we strongly recommend upgrading that product before using the scripts.
